Russia Attacks Ukraine Again, Killing 10 Civilians
19th Nov. 2025
Another Day, Another Attack on Ukraine. On 19th November, 2025, Russian strikes once again tore through multiple Ukrainian cities, killing at least ten people and injuring dozens. “It is one of the deadliest hits on western Ukraine since the full-scale invasion began in 2022,” Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko said. Among the injured were 12 children, which added more anguish to an already devastated region.

Widespread Strikes Across Western and Northern Ukraine
The assault did not stop in Ternopil; the strikes also hit Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk. Furthermore, a drone attack also targeted three districts in Kharkiv, injuring more than 30 civilians. Moreover, images shared online showed burning vehicles and collapsing structures as emergency crews struggled to contain multiple fires. As a result of the widespread bombardment, power cuts affected several regions.
President Zelensky stated that Russia had launched more than 470 drones and 47 missiles throughout the night, causing ‘significant destruction.’ He warned that residents could still be trapped beneath the rubble in Ternopil. A video released by the president captured plumes of smoke rising from shattered homes as sirens echoed across the city.
Apart from this, Energy facilities suffered substantial damage as well. In Ivano-Frankivsk, Officials reported that two of the three injured people were children. Furthermore, regional officials in Lviv said a Russian strike hit an energy installation, intensifying fears of prolonged power shortages as winter approaches.
Amid the ongoing assault, Zelensky departed for Ankara to discuss renewed diplomatic efforts with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The visit comes amid reports that US envoy Steve Witkoff and Russian official Kirill Dmitriev have explored elements of a potential peace framework. However, the Kremlin quickly stated that no Russian representative would attend the Ankara meeting. Spokesman Dmitry Peskov refused to comment on reports of secret talks, insisting there was “nothing new” to disclose.
In addition, Reuters reported that Zelensky is expected to meet US Army Secretary Dan Driscoll and Army Chief of Staff General Randy George in Kyiv on Thursday. Their visit would mark the highest-level American military delegation to Ukraine since President Donald Trump entered office, underscoring Washington’s shifting diplomatic approach as the war grinds on.
