Zendaya Dismisses Wedding Rumors with Tom Holland
Zendaya has publicly dismissed speculation that she secretly married Tom Holland. She used humor during a recent television appearance to address widespread online rumors fueled by AI-generated images and industry chatter.

While appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday, March 16, the actor clarified that the circulating wedding photos were fabricated. “Really? I haven’t seen any of that!” she said jokingly when host Jimmy Kimmel referenced the speculation. However, she soon acknowledged that many people had been misled by the images. She added that, “many people have been fooled by them”.
The rumors initially gained traction after stylist Law Roach suggested at the 2026 Actor Awards that the couple might already be married. Subsequently, the claims intensified when AI-generated wedding images began circulating online, prompting confusion among fans and even acquaintances of the actor.
Zendaya Debunks AI Wedding Images in Interview
During the interview, Zendaya explained how convincingly realistic the altered images appeared. “I was out and about in real life and people are like, ‘Oh my god, your wedding photos are really gorgeous.’ And I was like, ‘Babe they’re AI. They’re not real’”, she said. Moreover, when asked whether people close to her believed the images, she admitted, “Yes, many people”.
To further address the speculation, she presented a video clip that appeared to show a wedding scene. However, the footage was later revealed to be from her upcoming film The Drama. The clip featured Zendaya in bridal attire alongside co-star Robert Pattinson, although a digitally altered version humorously replaced Pattinson’s face with Holland’s.
Kimmel remarked, “It would seem as if somebody just crudely pasted Tom’s head over Robert’s head”, yet Zendaya playfully insisted, “No … that was real footage”.
Zendaya Responds to Marriage Rumors After Oscars Appearance
Meanwhile, the actor’s appearance followed her attendance at the 2026 Academy Awards, where she wore an engagement ring along with what appeared to be a gold band, further fueling speculation. Nevertheless, she did not confirm any marriage.
At the ceremony, Zendaya and Pattinson presented the Best Director award to Paul Thomas Anderson for One Battle After Another. Their joint appearance also aligned with promotional efforts for The Drama, which is scheduled for nationwide release on April 3.
Although rumors continue to circulate, Zendaya’s remarks suggest that misinformation, particularly AI-generated content, played a significant role in amplifying the narrative. Consequently, her lighthearted clarification appears aimed at dispelling confusion while maintaining privacy around her personal life.
