India’s Largest Drugmaker Sun Pharma Signs US Deal to Lower Drug Prices
India’s largest drugmaker, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, has signed a pricing agreement with the US government to improve access to affordable medicines. The Mumbai-based company will offer Most Favoured Nation (MFN) pricing to state Medicaid programs across the United States. The White House announced the agreement on August 31, 2026, alongside deals with eight other pharmaceutical manufacturers. Formulations and biologics made up about 79.26% of FY25 pharma exports, while around half of exports reach highly regulated markets such as North America and Europe.

Sun Pharma operates in more than 100 countries, with manufacturing and API facilities across several global markets.
