Travis Kelce will return for a 14th NFL season with the Kansas City Chiefs. This announcement ended the months of speculation about whether the veteran tight end might retire. The 36-year-old, who has spent his entire NFL career in Kansas City, had reached the end of his previous contract after the 2025 season. However, despite reportedly receiving more lucrative offers from other teams, Kelce chose to stay with the Chiefs.
NFL Network reported that the tight end agreed to a one-year deal worth up to $15 million. As a result, Kansas City retains its one of the most decorated players in franchise history. Meanwhile, it attempted to rebound from a disappointing campaign.
